This "Pagoda" Yixing teapot is exceptional for its trapazoid light brown body and its charcoal lid, finial, handle, and spout. Its second distinction is the wave-like lid and lip with an appropriately wavy finial. The spout and handle feature straight edges as counterpoints to the wave design. The body of the teapot is textured with very fine diagonal lines running in one direction from the lip to the bottom. Pagoda is an exquisitely understated and intriguing piece.
